LARKEN . HALE----------If you just r e a l i z e what I just r e a l i z e d, Then we'd be p e r f e c t for each other And will n e v e r find a n o t h e r Larken Lillian Hale wandered down the beach as she looked at the setting sun. She had spent most of the day here, yet her skin was still a smooth alabaster. Larken didn't tan very well, but she was okay with that. She liked having milky white skin, as opposed to sickly orange as alot of the girls around here. She wrapped her arms around herself as she walked, her feet sinking into the sand and leaving a trail of foot prints in her wake. Her long, chestnut brown hair tossed in the gentle breeze as she continued to walk. Then, she stopped, randoming in the middle of the beach and watched the sky turn colors, shades of purple and pink. She sighed heavily, her eyes scanning the sky then the horizon at the sun. She favored well here, yet she still felt so alone. It may sound cliched to feel that way, but it was true. She didn't act like this for attention, in fact she got plenty of attention, but she still felt like all of them just looked right through her. She ran her pink tongue across her lips before she slowly ran her hands down her bare sides. She was still in her bikini top and a white mini skirt wrapped around her hips. She held a maroon sweatshirt in her hands as she stood there, completely silence.
She then sighed, slipping the maroon sweatshirt onto her shoulders, but not zipping it up as she stood there, the wind warm against her cheeks. She closed her eyes and ran her hands up her arms, feeling the soft fabric of the sweatshirt before she let her green eyes scan the water as it smashed against the beach. She watched it carry sand away, as it had never been there. She then walked closer to the edge, letting her toes sink into the wet sand, the feeling causing a sweet giggle to leave her lips. It was an interesting feeling, one she didn't really stop to appreciate. There were alot of things that Larken didn't stop to appreciate. Her roommates were great people, well most of them. Apple was the one person that Larken just couldn't stand. Both girls had strange names, but at least Larken's parents were being original. It sounded like Apple's parents just looked at a fruit bowl in the hospital and decided.
She sighed as she stepped into the white water as she rolled over the beach, washing over her pale feet. She smiled at the sensation before she slowly took a deep breath, taking in the scent of the air. The beach was always a calming place for her, she found herself here often to just sit and think. Of course during the day it was bustling about with people, but when it was about dusk, no one was to be seen. That is, unless you were a night owl like Larken. She wasn't one to just go trapsing around town, going to clubs and getting wasted like alot of her peers, she enjoyed warm solitude. That's what the beach was to her at dusk, warm solitude and a calm place to contemplate her life. Yet every time she came here, one thing remained the same in her mind:
Nathan James Noble.
He had been her best friend, confidant, and down right true love when she was younger. They had grown up together, did everything together, Nathan was her first everything in her heart. First kiss, first love, that is except for a few things. As hard as it was to believe, Larken was still a virgin, even though she dated and flirted often with other guys. It was always like Larken had been saving herself for Nathan, but when her parents dropped the bomb that they were moving, everything crashed to a halt. Larken was torn away from Nathan without so much as a say from her. Now here she was, standing the sand, thinking about him like she did every day and every night. Some call that obsessive, but she didn't think it was a bad thing.

once, in every show, there goes a song like this it starts off soft and low, and ends up with a kiss oh where is that song, that goes like this? Nathan didn't know what to do today. He had no plans, at all, except for taking care of his siblings. Being the oldest wasn't so bad, but it surely had it's draw backs. Four boys, and two girls- that was a big family. He didn't know why his parents even considered it, seeing that they were poor, and money came in like a fish in the sahara desert. He looked up from his position in his room. No, scratch that, the position in his room whom he shared with his two brothers. He took the single bed, while the other two had a bunk. To his right was a wall, he had covered with pictures. Most of which was pictures of a little boy, holding hands with a little girl, in some, they were playing, in some, they were laughing. There was only one girl that could ever make him laugh like he did as a child.
Larken Lillian Hale was his childhood sweetheart, all the way up to his middle school years. They loved each other, even at that early pre teen age, they knew they were meant to be. He'd call her, she'd call him, it was all perfect. Except, of course, it drew his parents mad. After all, the other bills were too much of a hastle, already. He sighed at one picture of them kissing. He didn't know how to kiss until Larken taught him. How embarrassing that might have been. He got up from his bed, and walked to his closet, no, his brother's closet, and pulled out a plain, white tshirt, and some jeans. A normal, Nathan Noble outfit. He put it on, and walked to the tiny shack of a living room, where the rest of his siblings were watching television, his mother watching with them. i'll be back in a bit He said, grabbing the car keys from the kitchen table. He gave his mother a kiss, and then left.
He thought hard of where to go. He didn't know where, which was why he didn't start the car yet. He didn't want to waste gas, driving around without anywhere to go. He finally decided on the beach. He wasn't dressed for it, but it's the only place where he could actually relax and clear his mind. And besides, his parents always kept a towel his the glove compartment- just incase something happens. He placed the car in drive, and then drove off. The drive there was silent, except for the roaring of the engine, trying to keep up to it's standards. It was an old car, with chipped paint and what not. But it was cozy. And it screamed Nathan everywhere. His parents wanted him to drive a manual, instead of an automatic, but stick shifts made Nathan faint, so they bought him the cheapest automatic car in the world- which was fine for him.
He finally got to the beach. He took out the towel, and laid it on the sand, fairly close to the water. There was just one other person there. In the water. He could tell she was a girl. He decided to focus more on his thoughts than at the girl. After all, when Larken moved, Nathan promised not to go out or love anyone else. He kept his promise. Larken was his first girlfriend. His first, and last- up to this day.

LARKEN . HALE----------If you just r e a l i z e what I just r e a l i z e d, Then we'd be p e r f e c t for each other And will n e v e r find a n o t h e r It was a little sad to see the sun go. Since once the sun was gone, all that was left was darkness, and that's what Larken felt all the time. It seemed over dramatic at times, but really, her sun has been gone since her parents pulled her away from Nathan forever. It had been the single most heartbreaking moment in her life and she never forgave her parents for taking her away. Now, here she was, one year away from graduating, when he would this year. The age difference never really mattered between the two, it was only a year. But now, he'd be graduating and after that, she didn't know what. Sure, she didn't know where he was now, but once he graduated he'd be off somewhere else, and she'd never be able to find him again. It would be like heart was ripped from her chest and he was unknowingly holding it forever. Guys have tried to get close to her, but she was way too closed off for them to even get far enough as true boyfriend status. Was Nathan the same way? Holding out with that one shred of hope that the other was close? She didn't know, her heart prayed it, but she couldn't know could she?
Larken exhaled sharply as the water continued to crash against her ankles now, her body still out of the water. A part of her wanted to just go out there and float forever, see how far she'd get before drowning. A bit of a morbid thought but those happen on occasion. She shook her head and let her green eyes scan over the water, watching as the sun continued to creep down the horizon, bidding farwell until the next morning arrived. It was lame, but she often missed the sun as it left, it was the only thing that really made anything brighter.
Larken sighed as the sun sank past the horizon and the sky was dark now. Her green eyes then heard the sound of a car door and she realized she was no longer alone. Her eyes glanced in the direction of a young man, sitting himself on a towel and enjoying the view like she was. She noticed him looking at her and she suddenly felt compelled to go interact with him. Why? She had no clue, but for some odd reason she felt like she needed too. Slowly, she stepped out of the water and pulled the maroon sweater closer, even though it wasn't zipped up. She then brushed hair out of her face as she slowly sat herself down next to the young man, still not getting a clear look at his face.
"Some say that the ocean is theraputic for those with uneasy thoughts and feelings." She said, her voice raspy like it always was. Larken wasn't your typical valley girl, not my by any means. She didn't haev the irritating, high pitched voice, no. She had a scratcher, more womanly voice than most girls her age. It made her sound more mature when she spoke, and often times she was. "The sights and the scents...just calms you." With that, the dark beauty looked over at him, her arms wrapping around her knees as she did. "I hope I'm not invading you I just...I felt like I needed to.." She trailed off as she looked closely at him. There was something oddly, and scarily familiar about his face. The curve of his jaw, the color of his eyes. The sun was gone yet she could still see his face.
"....talk to you." She finished finally, her ruby lips parted as her green eyes stared at him intently. Was it? It couldn't be, that was just too convienent, even for her. There was no way that he was just here, after spending the entire day thinking about him. Or was it finally God's way of saying, 'okay you can stop crying now'? Larken was beyond nervous at this point as her eyes stared hard at the guy before her. Would be still remember her? Was she just as apart of his thoughts as he was of hers? But then again, this could someone she didn't even know at all and she was just talking to him like a crazy person.

once, in every show, there goes a song like this it starts off soft and low, and ends up with a kiss oh where is that song, that goes like this? Nathan didn't need anyone to talk to at that time. He was fine right there where he was- sitting and gazing at the sunset, alone. IT was a surprise when all of the sudden, a girl plopped down beside him. AT first, he thought she was going home or something, walking over to her car, but when she sat, Nathan just kept staring at the sunset. He didn't like strangers, let alone people who just randomly starts talking to you. But he wasn't going to just shoo her away. After all, maybe it was time to move on. Larken could well be all the way across the world right now. When she said she was 'leaving' she didn't exactly say where. SHe could be anywhere right now, with another man, someone more tougher, someone more handsom that he was. He sighed.
Some say that the ocean is theraputic for those with uneasy thoughts and feelings a voice came from beside him. Her voice was calming all in itself- like the ocean. He smiled, and gave out a huff. so i've been told He said, not daring to look over at her. Her voice was pretty, and he knew she was pretty, too. You couldn't match a beautiful voice with an ugly girl- it just couldn't happen. After all, take Beyonce for example- she was pretty as heck, and her voice just simple matched her face. Flawless. I hope I'm not invading you I just...I felt like I needed to... Well? Come one, spit it out...
He was guessing she was too engrossed in the sunset that she trailed off. He looked over at her, trying to see if he could get her to start talking again. And then he saw her. Her brunette hair, blending with the orange, pinkish hazes of the sunset. It couldn't be. It just couldn't. It was too perfect for this to happen. He didn't wish on a star, he didn't toss a coin in a well, all he did was pray. But praying got him no where. At least not with anything else- he was poor, he had a stupid car. He tilted his head in disbelief. Maybe it wasn't her. Maybe it was just a look a like. He had been mistaken for jensen ackles a lot of times- he surely could've just mistaken her for Larken. But there was something about her face- her hair, those eyes. You're... He couldn't get it out. You're not invading me... He smiled, as he gazed into her eyes.
He continued staring. Like a mad man. He didn't know what to do. A part of him wanted to kiss her. A part of him wanted to throw up on her. Can i ask you something? He looked back at the sunset, hoping that she didn't know that it was him. He was a wreck. A stained white shirt, some dirty jeans from when he mows lawns? He didn't want to seem more like a loser than last time. He licked his lips, feeling the dryness with his tounge.

LARKEN . HALE----------If you just r e a l i z e what I just r e a l i z e d, Then we'd be p e r f e c t for each other And will n e v e r find a n o t h e r She had really gone off the deep end hasn't she? Harlem would be shaking his head and pulling her off the beach right about now, saying she was a silly girl. But when she looked at this guy, all she could think about was Nathan and those eyes of his as she looked at him. He had the same eye color, same shape it was hard to look away. Maybe she was just so wrapped up in thoughts of him that maybe she was just hallucinating. She could tell by his body language that he wasn't really up for talking to her, to strangers it would seem. They didn't really know each other so she didn't blame him for not wanting to talk to some crazy loon. She licked her lips and looked down at her knees before she looked back up and found him looking back at her. That's when she felt like a jolt had hit her body, looking into his eyes like this.
"No! You can't!" Larken called as she ran away from the little boy. Her long brown hair tossed behind her as she ran, her skirt flowing behind her. She giggled as the young boy tackled her to the ground and her parents stood on the deck, watching them. Her parents were always watching, it was a little annoying. A pair of kids couldn't play together without adults breathing down their necks. Larken looked to them, her green eyes glistening as she reached up and grabbed Nathan's arm and dragged him farther into her yard and in the bushes.
"Larken!" Her mother called out to her as the little girl dragged the boy farther in. That's when she spun around to face him and a soft smile spread across her face. Then, she placed her hand on his shoulder and let her lips touch his. They had been no older than ten years old. Larken kissed Nathan's lips gently before she looked up at him with a sweet, innocent giggle.
"I love you, Nathan Noble." She said with another sweet giggle, before she took off in a run out of the bushes, where her mother could see her and relax. Larken smirked as she circled a tree and watched for Nathan to pop back out of the bushes.
Larken eyes searched over him as she looked at the tall, handsome guy next to her. Could it be the boy next door? The one that held her heart this entire time? It was too good to be true, he couldn't be sitting here on the same beach, in the same town, it was too perfect.
You're.... You're not invading me...
"Good..." Larken whispered before laughing and looking away sweetly. She brushed hair out of her face and wrapped her arms back around her knees, getting shy. Larken could be shy at times, especially around new people. But for some reason, she had it in her head that she knew this guy, that her shyness was caused by something else. She wanted to be closer to him. She wanted his hands on her skin, she felt embarrassed for thinking this but it was true. She licked her lips before he caught her attention once again with a question. Can i ask you something?
"Sure, of course." She said with a gentle, kind smile as she let her knees go. Her feet sank lower into the sand as her long brown hair slowly tossed in the slow and gentle breeze. She would answer anything, and she was a bit scared at how comfortable she was becoming.

once, in every show, there goes a song like this it starts off soft and low, and ends up with a kiss oh where is that song, that goes like this? He didn't exactly know what to ask. It sort of just burst out of him. He couldn't help but ask it. It was as if the girl was in a trans. Was she always like this, or was this mystery girl possibly thinking the same thing Nathan was thinking of- that were meant to be together, that even those people up there agree that they can never be seperated. He smiled, hoping to just see in her eyes that 'yes- i am the one you've been waiting for all your life.' And then, just like that, a never ending stream of memories started flooded into his brain. Those same eyes, the same scent- the same dare to be personality. His grin grew bigger.'what was your first kiss like?'
The award winning question. Because if it really was her, then she'd probably say it was as if the angels in the heavens stopped the world from turning just for them, and no one else. Their eighth grade, middle school halloween dance- or back then, the anual masquarade ball. He was a prince, and she wore the most stunning ball gown in the world, Nathan couldn't resist. At the strike of midnight.. Okay, so it wasn't really midnight, but it was the end of the dance, they left and walked over to the football field, their shoes- her heels, and the bottom of her dress, soaking in mud as it had rained that day. They sat on the highest bleacher, and there, they shared the first kiss. And it was perfect. It couldn't be any more perfect. He loved her and she loved him- that was all that mattered.
'Do you believe in love at first sight?' He remembered asking her on that moment, right then, as the football field lights burst on to show the pouring rain. They were soaking wet, and they didn't care. He didn't care. All he cared about was her, and being with her forever and ever. They were the school's star couple. He remembered her nodding and then he went in and started kissing her again. It was like they spent the night in the heavens, even though they came home soaking wet, Larken's dress heavier than Nathan, from the water it had absorbed.
Now he was in a trance. Were those the same lips he had passionately kissed so many years back then? He couldn't help it. It was as if he had fallen in love again. This wasn't like Nathan at all. Normally- before Larken, he would just go out for a week and then eventually move on. But of course, he never kissed until he felt it was safe enough. No, it wasn't paranoia. Kissing involved commitment. He didn't want to kiss someone just for the heck of it. He wanted to love her first.
ooc; gahhh, short post. i'm a little out of it today.
